On August 10, 2004, Tift Merritt became the very first person Bob ever interviewed here at XM Satellite Radio - almost two full months before The Bob Edwards Show premiered.  Merritt is back today to talk about her latest CD "Another Country," about the four months she spent in Paris writing the album's 11 songs and about joining Bob as a fellow public radio host.  When writing, touring or recording commitments don't get in the way, Merritt is the host of "The Spark" a new monthly, 30-minute interview program airing on Marfa Public Radio in Texas.

And just in case you were wondering, click here for the translation of Tift's French song "Mille Tendresses."
